Term deposit

Term deposit is suitable for investing your money for a short-time period and in a secure manner.

Interest – The interests earned from a deposit are paid to the account at the beginning of the deposit period, monthly or at the end of the deposit period. The interest rates of deposits are here. To get an interest rate for a deposit of over 32 000 EUR (500 000 EEK), please contact the client service of LHV.

Period – The term of deposit can be freely selected between 1 week and 2 years.

Sum – For a deposit the term of which is equal to or exceeding 1 month, the minimum sum is 700 EUR (10 000 EEK). For a deposit the term of which is less than 1 month, the minimum sum is 6 000 EUR (100 000 EEK).

Currency – Deposits can be opened in Estonian kroons, euros, US dollars, Latvian lats and Lithuanian lits.

Extension – When opening a deposit you can choose whether at the end of the deposit term the deposit will extend or not. In case of deposit with interest payment at the end of the deposit period, the deposit can be extended with interests.

Current deposit

For a current deposit, i.e. for money on the account 0.2% annual interest is calculated based on the minimum balance of money, in case the balance is over 320 EUR (5 000 EEK) or its equivalent in other currency. Interests are paid to the account at the beginning of each month. Interest is calculated on all accounts, except for money on Trader-accounts.

Deposit guarantee

For the clients of LHV Pank, the guarantee scheme of the Deposit Guarantee Sectoral Fund of the Guarantee Fund is valid in accordance with the Guarantee Fund Act.

Deposits, together with the interest thereon as at the date on which the deposits become unavailable, shall be guaranteed and compensated to the extent of 100% but not more than in the amount of 50 000 EUR (782 330 EEK) per depositor in LHV Pank.
